Equal-Works

The four Skills Equal partnership members are from Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland and the UK.

The Belgian partner is concerned with knowledge management in SMEs and has been developing a software tool to map knowledge and the implementation of knowledge transfer.

The Czech Republic partners have been developing training opportunities for the evaluation and development of competencies.

In Poland, seven organisations are working to achieving better business competitiveness by adjusting employees' and employers' qualifications and encouraging e-learning courses.

Together the transnational partnership has these specific objectives:

• To develop innovative ways to address the inequalities in the workplace with particular attention to the older worker
• To develop innovative approaches to resolving the knowledge and skills loss problems which can occur when older workers leave the company where they are employed
• To exchange best practice in knowledge transfer, e-learning, e-training and the competence toolkit
• To exchange key personnel and technical experts to encourage better cultural understanding, develop closer links between transnational partners and to encourage friendships to develop on a personal basis.
