Business creation

Definition: Opening up the business creation process to all by providing the tools required for setting up in business and for the identification and exploitation of new possibilities for creating employment in urban and rural areas

Theme C partnerships focused on business creation and covered a wide range of support and materials for entrepreneurs and those providing support for business creation. Examples of work covered include training and support for disadvantaged and under-represented groups, support for women entrepreneurs and access to finance. Products include mentoring websites, research into business creation amongst excluded groups, case studies, materials and guides for mentors, DVD and CD materials, handbooks and qualifications.
