Surrey County Council, ACE National - Action for Carers and Employment
Description
Surrey County Council's ACE Project was also part of Action for Carers (Surrey). The project promoted awareness of the need for equal opportunities for carers and their right to a life beyond caring. ACE Surrey promoted inter-agency working and co-operation to assist carers in line with the principles of the Carers (Equal Opportunities) Act and participated in a programme to improve access to Social Care support for carers in relation to training and work. The project also promoted flexible employment policies and practices, which enable carers to juggle work and care.
