Bridges ProjectATLAS (Action for Training and Learning for Asylum Seekers) Round 2 >>
Description
The Bridges project has been working with asylum seekers with professional or employment backgrounds but with a minimum intermediate standard of English. It matches clients with individuals in the Scottish labour market whose experience and background is similar to the clients. It has been working with a range of companies across every labour sector including the private, public and third sectors.
In Round Two, it has increased the number of participants and participating companies, and through the provision of childcare allowances has ensured that more women clients were able to take up placements while continuing to recruit more women onto the programme as part of the commitment to equal opportunities.
