CYTGORD

Partnership information

Description

Cytgord at Eisteddfod

Background

Women are playing a greater role in the economy than ever before but continue to face obstacles in education, employment and enterprise that prevent many from developing their skills and careers. The growth in numbers of women engaged in the Welsh economy is encouraging and equality has improved through various positive actions and good practice. However, the gender pay gap remains a key issue affecting the economic development of Wales as does the lack of opportunity and career choices for women, together with barriers faced by male lone parents.

This Development Partnership is predicated on the belief that the Welsh economy will only reach its full potential when every individual is given an equal opportunity to contribute.
