Mentoring CirclesEqualitec - Advancing Women in ITEC >>

Description

In collaboration with Equalitec, partner Inova developed a new mentoring methodology, Mentoring Circles TM. Mentoring Circles TM are based on an innovative methodology which brings together Action Learning, Coaching and Mentoring in a dynamic and participatory way. Action Learning is arguably one of the most dynamic ways of developing people and businesses as research has proved that people learn better in groups and when their learning activities are more focused. Mentoring relationships take the form of a mentoring circle, in which one mentor/facilitator leads a group of mentees. Mentoring relationships usually last 3-12 months. This approach to mentoring has proven very successful, allowing women returners who often face similar issues to support one another in finding solutions. 4 Mentoring Circles over 6 months were run during the project involving 50 women.
